Almost Romeo and Juliet

You can't say that the folks in Washington aren't providing us with first rate entertainment.  Watching Trump make nice with the Democrats while leaving the Republicans in a tizzy was priceless, and maybe Trump has found a new way to make some of his highly touted deals.  Lot of late nights ahead for those toiling on Capitol Hill.  If Trump can't drain the swamp at least he is more than capable of stirring the pot and I wonder who is going to float to the top and who is going to sink to the bottom.

US immigration policy and practices are a mess, but is there any reason why DACA became such a juicy target, other than the fact that it was one of Obama's executive orders?   Seems to me that it did more good than harm and was a reasonable investment for the future.  I am sure it has nothing to do with any anti-Hispanic bias on the part of the president.

If worse comes to worst, and if they are of legal age, DACA participants can always marry US citizens and throw another monkey wrench into the mix.  They can fall in love later.

I meant to point this out earlier but there was a big solar storm and Mr. Beagles should have a nice display of the Aurora Borealis, weather permitting.  Tonight is the last night, but it might make up for that eclipse.

Speaking of storms, old Irma is still maintaining her pace but the consensus is that she'll soon be veering north because of high pressure systems.  Maybe Miami will get clobbered, maybe it won't, so place your bets.  And there's still Jose, trailing not far behind, which just got upgraded to a Category 3 hurricane.

Irma and Jose, they almost sound like star crossed lovers but packing a formidable 1-2 punch.  Some hooligans will probably tattoo the names on their knuckles.

Awfully nice of Trump for "allowing Japan & South Korea to buy a substantially increased amount of highly sophisticated military equipment from the United States."

Another good deal which should end well.
