Guilty as charged, but I'm just trying to connect the dots and make sense of what is being reported, which is a daunting task. Every little news item has a spin on it, regardless of the news source, especially if it involves the White House. Oh,well, this is all part of the new now and I'm still trying to get used to it.

That big Saudi arms deal may be less than it appears. A recent article on the Marketwatch web site claims that the Saudis can't afford it. The Saudis, although their society is feudal, is a big ally of ours, and I'm not sure why.
Oil, maybe? It's ironic that the US supports a repressive monarchy and has sanctions against Iran, which recently elected a moderate guy in a presidential election. There is too much I don't understand about the beef between the Saudis and Iranians, probably time to read up on it. Surely there is more to it than the religious differences in the Muslim community.

I hope Uncle Ken has a fine weekend. A recent online article had a list of the top twenty most dangerous cities in the world and the highest ranking US city, at #15, was St.Louis (source: worldatlas.com).
