It's 11:00 PM. Do You Know Where your Cat Are?

I think this Qatar thing is big news. I saw it on TV again this evening, and I only watch about 15 minutes of news a day. I just checked back with Wiki, and they say that Trump has admitted that he stirred the whole thing up himself. Of course, being a braggart and a liar, there's no way of knowing if he's telling the truth this time. Meanwhile, Qatar is in no immediate danger of running out of food, since it has water frontage on the Persian Gulf, and has already established regular air service with Iran.

I'm still mad at Iran for that hostage thing back in 1980, for which they have never been properly punished, but I think most people have forgotten about that by now. The main reason that Iran is on the shit list today is they have been trying to develop nuclear weapons to use against Israel for years. I seem to remember that Iraq tried that once, but Israel destroyed their nuclear factory with conventional bombs before it could produce anything. I understand that Iran's facility is built underground to preclude that possibility. Anyway, that's what the sanctions were all about until Obama lifted them. One of Trump's campaign promises was that he would restore and increase the sanctions, but I don't think he's done that yet. Maybe he thought it would be cheaper or more effective to raise this ruckus about Qatar instead. I would never have thought of that myself, maybe that's why I'm not President of the United States.

I have previously allowed that there might be something to this global warming thing, but I am still against treaties like Kyoto and Paris, mostly because they are under the auspices of the United Nations. We don't need no stinking treaty to work on global warming anyway. Windmills and solar panels have been sprouting up all over the country for years, and the electric car has finally been released. You know, they had electric cars over a century ago, but they were suppressed for some reason. I have long suspected there was some kind of conspiracy involved. Somebody should investigate that.
