superbowl in the rearview mirror

Old Dawg is right that running for prez enhances one's rise in politics, especially if you are young and unknown you don't have much to lose.  Especially now a lot of us dems want just somebody we have never heard of, and so likely has no major blemishes.  I would like to put all the names in a bag and just pick one at random and then all us dems would get behind them and there would be no bruising national primary.

The Republican primaries of 2016 and 2012 were indeed something to behold.  They had to have some cutoff point because only so many could fit on the stage at the presidential debates, and what a sight they were ambling and strutting to the stage each one seemingly daffier than the other.  There was entertainment.  I'm surprised they never made a movie or a tv show about it.  Did you know that the Trumpists are working within the republican party to discourage primaries and caucuses or anybody running against Trump?

What I was wondering was what principle of physics made the infra red thermo work, but I guess I can figure out that since infra red emissions are heat the device simply measures the emissions coming from a particular site,  Sounds kind of interesting since a lot of objects in a room would have different temps you could measure them all.  Reminds me of one day in my sub career when I handed out protractors to the kiddies.  Angles, perhaps they never had heard of them before, and look they are everywhere.  They raced around the room measuring all the angles.  That's the girls.  The boys pretended they were guns and ran around shooting each other.

I normally would not watch the super bowl, but a couple folks a bit higher in the towers were hosting a superbowl party and there was beer and chili.  The sound wasn't on so we were mostly just gabbing, it seems like that 3 and 0 score stood forever, and I don't recall seeing much of either team at their goalposts.  I was against New England because they are cheaters, but they won anyway.  But the chili was hot and the beer cold, and the conversation above average.

I didn't read too deep into Beagles' link, it was from the National Review after all.  I wonder how you would measure assets.  Aren't they the things people are always trying to hide in divorce court?  Well I'm not paying too much attention to individual plans at this point because all are subject to change.  I would however like to see some sort of soak the rich plan however.  I mean they have so much and giving them a modest haircut could bring in so much money.

That was the insurance companies calling Hillarycare socialized medicine. Remember Harry and Louise?  The thing is if you offer like single payer or medicare for all, that doesn't sound too bad to people but if you call it socialized medicine people shit their britches.  Those insurance companies are brutal, well they are fighting for their lives.  I keep thinking that the more the subject comes up and the more people are thinking about it the clearer it would be that the whole thing could be put together without that annoying insurance part.

Last I heard Obamacare was still saving the gummint money mostly because more people have insurance now and aren't clogging the emergency rooms.  It would be saving us even more money if not for the republicans tossing wrenches into it every which way.
