Answer me this if you can: If the mask doesn't stop the virus from crawling in, how does it stop the virus from crawling out? The TV people say that you can make a mask from any kind of cloth, so it's not like there's a special one way cloth. If there was, you could layer two pieces of cloth with one facing in and one facing out and the mask would work both ways. My wife who, by the way, doesn't want me to refer to her hypothetically anymore, went to Walmart today and reported that all the employees were wearing masks, but some of the customers were not, and nobody seemed to care.
The big hospital in Petoskey is now reporting some different numbers. It was 33, not 23, corona patients that they have treated so far. Three of them have died, 19 have been discharged, and only two are still in the hospital. That leaves nine patients unaccounted for. It occurred to me that those nine might have been out patients that were never admitted to the hospital. We used to have a regular hospital in Cheboygan, but it went bankrupt some years ago and closed for a week or so. Then McLaren Northern Michigan, the same outfit that owns the big hospital in Petoskey, bought our hospital and reopened it as an out patient only facility. If they need to keep you overnight, they ship you to Petoskey, some 50 miles away.
