Tell it to the judge

"Because I am washing my hands of this fellow."

Talk about having a flair for the dramatic!  That is, as the kids might say today, a classic burn.  I can't think of any witty rejoinder to such a statement; it defies response.  Did Harry continue to be a regular or did he take his business elsewhere?

I can't say if square pieces are a Chicago-only type of thing but that style seems popular in the mid-west.  There are advantages to the squares, the main one being that the pieces are smaller and you don't have to commit to the larger size of the triangular slice.  I've seen that style referred to as "party squares," which sounds right; the pizza becomes a finger-food, not needing a plate.  But what about the shape of the pizza itself?  Although traditionally round, some pizzas like Sicilian or Detroit style, are rectangular.  It's still pizza, and it's all good.

The issue of asset forfeiture may be resolved soon.  Arguments have already been made in the Supreme Court in the case of Timbs v. Indiana, and you can read about it here.

Asset forfeiture is a system that is easy to abuse.  It is becoming common for the police to ask, at a routine traffic stop, whether or not you have any large sums of money in the car.  If so, they can legally seize that money if they think it was related to a criminal activity.  You don't have to be arrested or charged with any crime; they can just take it.  There are a lot of reasons why a regular, law-abiding citizen would have a few thousand in cash on their person or in their car.  Maybe you just sold something big, or are on the way to buy something like a car from a private party.  If you get stopped by the police you could be shit out of luck.  It gets worse than that, though.  One couple had their home seized because their young son sold some drugs from the premises.  The parents knew nothing about it but it didn't matter.  They lost their home but this may still be tied up in the courts.  .

There is a lawyer on YouTube from Mr. Beagles' home state of Michigan who specializes in consumer law and the automotive "lemon laws" and he discusses asset forfeiture from time to time.  It may be informative but the bottom line is that at this time there is nothing we can do about it.  You are guilty until you can prove yourself innocent and not many people can afford the legal fees required to get your money, car, or house returned to you.  Asset forfeiture is a very ugly issue and maybe common sense will prevail but I'm not holding my breath.
