There's no shortage of things to get worked up about these days, is there? I was reading a few items about the apparent fulfillment of biblical prophesies, so maybe things are out of our hands. It's all nonsense to me but there is still the nagging thought of "what if...?" First there was the birth of a red heifer, born "without blemish," followed by the discovery of fish living in parts of the Dead Sea. And last week, a snake was seen slithering out of some wall in Israel which apparently means something to the true believers. It all adds up to nothing but it's only a matter of time before the nutballs claim the Anti-Christ is already walking among us. Unfortunately, I don't have a contingency plan in case I start hearing trumpets.

Are Commies still a threat? There are only five communist nations left and some of them are hedging their bets, allowing private ownership of land. Even the North Koreans don't consider themselves communist any more; they've developed their own system called juche, a curious twist of Marxist philosophy That wacky Kim family!

The news has left me exhausted and I'll be glad when Wednesday morning comes around. The pundits will have something new to yap about and maybe Mueller will have something to say. I hope so. It's about time we got this show on the road.
