Dang this blog is hard to search. It only searches the posts on the screen at any one time and if you want to go further back in time you have to click for older posts, and you only get a few posts per screen so you have to click again and again. The Dawgs fondness for white space, I might add, allows for fewer posts per screen. Just saying.
And apparently we have been talking about this Caravan for quite awhile. so I had to give up the search if I wanted to get anything done this morning. It seems to me that several screens ago Beagles was worried that our soldiers at the border would not have the heart to shoot at the Caravaners and I was looking for that quote. I did find where he felt good about all the armed folk between the Rio Grande and Beaglesonia. I assume he meant by that that he was hopeful that they would shoot at the Caravan.
That's why I asked him if he would have shot at those unarmed Russkies. I am glad to see that he wouldn't, and by extension neither would the troops on the border and that's good.
And now, over a couple campaign stops the number of troops has risen to 15,000, tripling the number in a few days and there is about a week to go before the election so I suppose we can expect maybe 30,000. Of course he may change his mind, but I think fear of Mexicans is his bread and butter, nothing gets those rallies roaring like beating up on wetbacks.
Jeez, didn't those guys know that they were dealing with commies, and yet they took their word? On the other hand the sign was pointed towards the west so who there is going to believe a bunch of commies, so it seems like no harm was done.
I guess I have been over occupied with politics lately, not allowing my head to be turned by cute little minkies catching rats and all. Well the election is just five days away so I'm afraid there is no hope for me thinking about anything else. I am resigned to not taking the senate, but everybody is saying the house should be a snap. But I remember that's what they said about beating Trump and I settled into a comfy chair with beer and chips and a smirk on my face, and then, and then.
