moving

Seems unlikely that Kyle would have been killed if he went without a gun because nobody else was, and outside of a proud boy type in Portland I don't think those antifa types have killed anybody.  And I don't see what's good about Kyle who even now is sucking up to Trump and wanting to be a part of that great cause.

Moving.  Sometimes I think we are like those tiny sea creatures who swim about as free as a bird.  Well I can't say free as a fish can I?  Anyway after their fling of fishing about they attach themselves to some lonely rock grow some kind of shell and that is it.  True for Beagles and myself.  Not true for Old Dog.

I am thinking of the days when I could, like Beagles in the sixties, pack all my crap in like a big dufflebag.  I could do that until 1985 when I moved to Texas.  Previous to that I had lived in the same place for about ten years and had accumulated enough stuff to fill about a dozen boxes which I had shipped to Texas by FedEx.  Hadn't accumulated much more after two years there and was able to ship it back to Illinois in maybe fifteen.

I dread to think how much I would have to move if I left my current place, mostly books and art crap, and basically just crap.  I have a lot of stuff that has been sitting on the same shelf for over twenty years, and by the time I am taken out feet first it will likely still have been untouched.

But then there is that gypsy moth, Old Dog.  Who has moved twice in the time I have known him.  I am thinking now of how he moved all his crap by foot.  I wonder how many trips he made per day, and how many all together, and what he did with the big really heavy stuff.  As a meticulous man I am sure that he had it all worked out in his head before the first trip.  If he has the time and the inclination I would like to hear that saga.
