You have emails from four years ago?
They go back further than that, Uncle Ken. I have no real reason to keep those messages but I have no real reason to toss them. Electrons don't weigh much or take up much space is how I see it, and there's no harm in hanging on to them. Compared to my paper archives these old emails are nothing; I have drawings and sketchbooks going back fifty years or so. Do I ever look at them? No, but they're there if the mood ever strikes me.

Hoo, Boy! The Meaning of Life! I try not to give it too much thought lest I dive down a rabbit hole, never to return. I wonder about human beings, though, and I think we're all nuts and can't control ourselves most of the time. We do good stuff, and we do bad stuff, and I wonder if we will ever balance it out evenly or become a blight to the planet. It's a close call.

I can't tell if my little buddy Groot is going to make it or not. There doesn't seem to be any root development but I'll give it another month. I'm doing all I can at the moment, giving it fresh water and keeping it out of direct sunlight.

Racism in the United States is a topic that every idiot has an opinion of, and I am no exception. This idiot feels that progress won't be made until white folks in general own up to their responsibility in making things as bad as they are, going back to pre-Colonial days. The British and the Dutch have a lot to answer for, in my opinion, and we shouldn't be denying history.
HBO had a recent four-part series on this topic, almost a documentary but not quite. It's called Exterminate All the Brutes, and it's an eye-opener with some parts difficult to watch. You can find a free site that streams it if you are interested.

June already, hard to believe how quickly time is flying by. Did Uncle Ken make it out of town for the holiday weekend? He mentioned something a while back about his plans to see his old crowd; hope the pandemic didn't screw things up.
