We have a website that reports the COVID numbers for District Four of our state health department, which encompasses Cheboygan County and three other counties, one of which has more people and two of which have less people than we do. As expected, the county with more people has had more cases and the counties with less people have had less cases than we have. No new cases or deaths in any of the four counties were reported today. Cheboygan County has had a total of 1929 cases since the thing began, which represents about 7.4% of our population, and 42 deaths, which represents about 0.16% or our population. Of course nobody knows how many cases went unreported. Last I heard, the experts were saying that the COVID bug will probably never be completely exterminated, and we might need to get booster shots once a year like we do with the flu. All things considered, it could have been worse.
Silly me, I have been trying to sort out the good guys from the bad guys in the Catfish series, but then I remembered that Uncle Ken doesn't believe in good guys and bad guys. I thought I had Ron pegged as a bad guy, but now I'm not so sure, which is probably what the author intended. I still think, however, that Gina is a manipulative bitch. The fact that both Ron and Gina have been trying to convince Catfish to get his own apartment might be a coincidence after all. They both probably have their own reasons, but not necessarily the same reasons. I have met people in my life who seem to get a kick out of persuading people to change their minds about something. Not intellectual stuff like we talk about at the Institute, just routine stuff like clothing choices and hair styles. I suppose it gives them a sense of power or something.
I'm sorry I have not been posting much lately. Every night I check my news app to see if I can find something worth discussing, but lately it's been the same old stuff over and over again.
