The White Shadow stands up

It is early yet and there will be plenty of time for pointing fingers,  I get the Washington Post so I have seen and read that article.  If Beagles had any particular point he wanted to make about it, I would like to hear it.

As you know I peek in on the foxies from time to time and I happened to be there when one of the little foxies was interviewing a security expert and her eyes glistened and her tongue slid along her lips as she said wasn't that the fault of the mayor of DC (who was of course a democrat)?  The security guy shook his head and pointed out that the DC police had nothing to do with it, the capital is protected by the Capitol police who are a federal agency.  Her face fell like a brick and she had clearly lost all interest in the subject and she was probably wondering when she could steer the conversation to Hunter Biden.

Here's another article about the debacle:  https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/06/politics/pence-national-guard/index.html  My point being that a lot of the fault for this debacle could easily be laid at Trump's feet.

You know I have long suspected that Pence was just too stiffly upright, too unwaverlingly loyal to be true, that surely he was holding a dagger beneath that snow white toga.  Well here at last is the break between the two men, but without the dagger.

Trump was never too fond of Pence.  He picked him up from the political scrap heap because he wanted to strengthen his position with the religious right, something he probably didn't need to bother with because you know, Jesus walked on water, Trump bragged about grabbing women by their pussies, potato potahtoh.  Actually Pence gained a little allure just by standing next to Trump, because well anybody standing next to Trump looks better in comparison.

Probably he would have stuck with Trump if Trump hadn't made him walk the plank.  I hear he has finally had it.  https://www.newsweek.com/gop-senator-jim-inhofe-admits-mike-pence-angry-trump-1559748

Sweet justice it would be to see Pence putting his signature on the 25th amendment papers.
