Guilty As Charged

Okay, so I'm a Republican, but only by default. If there was a party I liked better, I would certainly switch to them. The best thing I can say about the Republicans is that they are not Democrats. I am not voting for Trump no matter what. If he gets the nomination, and there are no third parties on the ballot, I will just leave that space blank. What there ought to be is a way to vote for "none of the above", which is kind of what I was doing when I used to vote for the Libertarians.

I didn't know that about the Ukrainians and the NAZIs. Well, that was a long time ago, and even the Germans have rehabilitated themselves since then. If the Ukrainians are still like that, then let the Russians have them too.

I haven't ever seen the movie "Network", but I will take your word for it. Of course it's probably just a work of fiction but, as I have said before, most stories have a certain amount of truth in them. The idea that there is some kind of secret society that rules the world has been around for a long time, so long that I think it qualifies as folklore. My guess is that, throughout history, there have been numerous secret societies that would have liked to rule the world, which is probably the origin of the myth.

Then there's ISIS, and it's not even being secretive about it. Of course they're not going to take over the world, they're just doing a lot of damage in the attempt. According to Wiki, they have a caliph, and he claims to be a descendant of Mohammed. They are trying to get all the Muslims worldwide to accept this guy and come under their jurisdiction. After that has been accomplished, they plan to start working on the rest of us. They don't care how many people, including their own, that they have to kill. Their ultimate goal is that everybody in the world will either be under their dominion or dead.

I don't know about the rest of my ilk, but I'm not afraid of these guys. I don't think I'm even mad at them, because they are obviously mentally ill and don't know any better. It's kind of like dealing with a pack of rabid dogs, you could almost feel sorry for them if they weren't so dangerous. You can't cure them, so you have to put them down before they infect anybody else. It's not about vengeance or punishment, it's about protecting yourself and others. I'm an objective realist too, and the reality here is that there is a bunch of people going around wreaking havoc all over the world, and they must be stopped. I don't know any easy way to do that, but it must be done, one way or another.
