Molly sounds kind of British to me. They also use moggy to refer to an alley cat. And grimalkin is what they call an old female cat, and by extension, an old woman. Sounds like a word that was thrown around during the Salem witch hunt days. I think it's perfectly fine to call a mixed sex grouping of cows, cows. Bovines sounds artificial, In Texas they called them beeves, which sounds like a nice word. How about chickens? Is a rooster a chicken? If he is waking you up in the morning he is a rooster, but if he is with his harem collectively they are called a bunch of chickens. Hen is used exclusively for girl chickens, but I don't know if there is a word specific to a girl cow.
I wonder about the passing of the Trump fortune. Isn't this something we long expected? Why did it take so long for this story to come out? Why didn't the feds catch them at the time? I think we have also long expected that the rich do some tricky things with their money, and I expect that by and large the feds let them get away with it. This whole right wing outrage against the IRS, and the subsequent decrease in funding for their investigators is orchestrated to help the rich pay less in taxes. All those tea partiers with their outrage against central government were used as tools by the rich to decrease their taxes.
The investigation is out, and it seems like there isn't much there. On the other hand they are not releasing it and there is only one 1,000 page copy which senators are only allowed to read one at time for an hour at a time. And the FBI was only allowed to investigate certain people, the senate reps say it was up to the white house and the white house says it was up to the senate to determine who gets interviewed, but the fact is it was limited.
But it was an investigation and this looks like it will give Collins cover to vote for Cryin' Brett, Flake also, Murkowski is mum. Hietkamp has announced she will vote against, and that is a little heartening to us dems. The fact that neither Collins or Flake have outright said that they would be voting for Blubberin' Brett (I like this better, alliteration you know), gives us a little hope, but it is precisely that, a little hope.
And of course who knows what act will enter the tent next? I'm still stuck on Lodestar. I am surprised that the author has not been uncovered, and that the story has faded so fast. You have to ask yourself what did Lodestar expect to gain by giving that story to the Times? Who would benefit by it, and I give you the White Shadow. Mark my words.
