Geez what an attitude. If somebody appears smarter and more
sophisticated than you are, and if they were indeed that, then they would know
that, then you aren’t interested in anything they say. I guess you would rather
learn from people who are dumber and who know less. Ah you stump jumping
anarchists, I don’t know why we smart sophisticates reach out to you with our
wisdom.
It does take time to look up the studies, but a guy who is pounding
his computer at night to some other guy who pounds his keyboard in the morning
and nobody is listening to either of them probably has a little time on his
hands. You know this whole who has time to do whatever is pretty much a dodge.
Everybody finds time to do what they want to do, it is only stuff that they
don’t want to do that they can’t find time for. It would be
more honest to just say you don’t want to do it.
And I don’t blame you, I don’t want to either. Damn columnists
don’t make it any easier either by failing to even give you enough information
that you can google the study and look it up yourself. Probably the best thing
you can do, if you still want to get to that computer before bedtime and pound
out your knowledge to some egghead sophisticate, is just to listen to a lot of
sources, as you say you do, and I commend you for that.
Some of my liberal friends, when I bring up something about Bill or
Sean, wrinkle their noses in disgust and proudly proclaim that they
never watch those guys, like somehow it would put a taint on them, like
somehow there would be some razzle dazzle and they’d be turned into Foxies.
Well geez, if your ideas are that weak, well you might as well become a
Foxie.
And the thing is Fox makes it easy to dismiss conservative ideas
because they are so stupid and full of half truths that it takes like ten
seconds to refute their arguments and to be assured that your liberal ideas are
impeachable. In this sense the Foxies do their conservative allies no favors
because they make them look stupid. Hey how about that Liz Cheney, what a
gal.
You know I am a fan of the Sunday morning talk shows, and I was
thinking of some conservative commentators who seemed intelligent and I could
only think of a few, but then I started to think of liberal commentators and
they seemed stupid too. And I think the thing is they are all so partisan and
all they really want to do is argue with each other, and they don’t want to
argue like a logical discussion, they just want to argue to win.
This is the problem my friend, we have a hardened left and a
hardened right and all they really want to do is fight each other, kind of like
the sunnis and the shias.
It does not follow that we would all be dead, actually would never
have existed, if there were no carbon in the atmosphere therefore more is
better. Again the thing about global warming is not that everyplace just gets a
little warmer, it’s that everything moves around so that cities are flooded and
breadbaskets get no rain, and we are worse off. Also it’s not like it goes a
few degrees and stops, it keeps going. And we are evolved to exist in a certain
climate, and when that has varied a bit in the past it has had a powerful effect
on our numbers.
Solar and wind are not cheaper right now then fossil fuels. If
they were don’t you think we would be using them? For a libertarian you have no
faith in free markets. A little government help for alternate fuels would help,
but I think this is against everything you believe in.
